Caring and confidential

Life throws curves tough for even the heartiest of us. Therapy should create safe space to explore. My aim in that space is to walk with you toward implementing ways to help life go smoother or making peace with personal history.

About

Welcome

Considering therapy and searching for "the one" to provide it can feel intimidating. As you consider sharing your story with me, you need to know a little about me to feel that we might be comfortable with each other. Positive experiences in therapy after trauma and other life-stretching experiences led to my desire to become a counselor. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oregon (#L10213). My education includes a Master of Social Work from the University of New England and a Postgraduate Certificate in Therapy with Adoptive and Foster Families from Portland State University. I am a Trust-Based Relational Intervention Practitioner and have been trained in Theraplay, Circle of Security, Internal Family Systems, and Lifespan Integration. I continue to pursue reading and new techniques to provide service that is current and holistic. I also provide clinical supervision to Clinical Social Work Associates (CSWAs). Prior to private practice, I provided trauma-informed therapy in a family mental health center and moved into clinical supervision of it. My practice has been built on many years of providing therapy and supervision extensively with: • Victims of abuse and neglect • Adoptees, foster children, parents, and other family members • Individuals grappling with cross-cultural challenges or spiritual crises • Those facing medical or terminal conditions of their own or loved ones • Therapists in training I have spent much of my life in the Pacific Northwest and overseas. When I'm not with clients, I can be found with family, in my garden, traveling, or on a kayak or bicycle. As your counselor, you honor me by sharing your life and growth with me. I will bring authenticity and a holistic perspective into weaving mind, body, and emotions for a whole and healthy person. Please feel free to arrange a chat about whether we may be a good fit together.
